Definitions:
“Company” refers to South Yorkshire Heating Solutions LTD, its employees, and authorised representatives.
“Customer” refers to the person or entity requesting services from the Company.
“Services” refer to all plumbing, heating, installation, maintenance, or repair work carried out by the Company.
Quotations and Estimates:
All quotations and estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise.
Quotations are based on information provided by the Customer; any changes may result in additional charges.
Estimates are approximations only and may vary based on actual conditions encountered.
Pricing and Payment:
Prices exclude VAT unless otherwise stated. A deposit may be required prior to commencement of work. Full payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments will incur a charge of £5 per day on invoices up to £500 or invoices from £500 to £10,000 will incur a charge of £40 per day until paid in full. Ownership of any materials supplied remains with the Company until full payment is received.
Workmanship and Materials:
The Company warrants that all work will be performed with reasonable care and skill. Materials used will be of merchantable quality and suitable for their intended purpose. Any manufacturer warranties on materials are passed on to the Customer. The Company reserves the right to substitute materials of equal or better quality when necessary.
Access and Responsibilities:
The Customer must provide reasonable access to the work area and ensure it is safe for the Company’s staff. The Customer must obtain all necessary permissions, permits, and consents before work begins. The Company is not liable for delays caused by restricted access, hazardous conditions, or interference by other contractors.
Cancellations and Rescheduling:
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may incur a call-out fee. If work is postponed after arrival on site, the Company reserves the right to charge for time and expenses incurred.
Liability:
The Company is insured for public liability up to £5,000,000
The Company shall not be liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses.
Damage caused by existing defects or poor installation by others.
Existing damage within the property.
Guarantee:
Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion, unless otherwise stated.
The guarantee does not cover:
Wear and tear, misuse, or failure to maintain systems.
Work altered or repaired by others without Company consent.
Waste Removal and Clean-up:
The Company will remove any waste materials generated from its work unless otherwise agreed.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring suitable disposal arrangements for hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos).
Force Majeure:
The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond its control, including weather, strikes, material shortages, or equipment failure.
License:
Unless otherwise stated, South Yorkshire Heating Solutions LTD and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on syhsltd.co.uk. All intellectual property rights are reserved. You may access this from syhsltd.co.uk for your own personal use subjected to restrictions set in these terms and conditions.
You must not:
